  6. put a lid and let simmer. if it looks dry add more broth. if using cooked rice mix rice in well and let heat through.
  7. it is done when rice is tender… when tasting decide if you need more salt, pepper, or garlic powder.
    • my Hubby likes a can of diced tomatoes add to it but it is not really dirty rice. if you taste and feel it is to tart from tomato add 1 tsp of white sugar.
