  9. Get 4 small potatoes – diced 1/4 inch
  10. Take 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. Take 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  12. Get 1 teaspoon cumin seed
  13. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  14. Get 1/3 cup flour-(This will absorb the fat,add a couple of tablespoons if needed-it will thicken the soup as it simmers)
  15. Make ready 8 cups chicken stock
  16. Get 2 tomatoes diced
  17. Make ready 1 pound cooked chicken, diced 1/2 inch (rotisserie chicken is real good)
  18. Get 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  19. Get 4 tablespoon fresh cilantro finely chopped
  20. Get 1-2 ounces lime juice
Instructions to make Muzgo Soup:
  1. In a large sauce pot add the oil and brown off the bacon then add the garlic, onions, jalapenos, red bell pepper,carrots,celery,potatoes and seasoning.
  2. Sauté over medium heat for 5 minutes and then dust with all of the flour. (Stir until incorporated)
  3. Add the chicken stock, diced tomatoes and chicken, black beans and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Adjust seasoning to taste then add the cilantro and lime juice to finish
